Buena park Punjabi School Graduation celebration

      Guru Nanak Sikh Temple in Buena Park, California honored and celebrated the graduation of nearly 60 Punjabi School Graduates on Saturday, December 19th, 2009 at Peacock Gardens Restaurant in Diamond Bar, California. Punjabi School graduate students along with their parents and teachers were all present for this joyous occasion. The program started around 7pm with a social hour. The arrangements were very beautiful and the tables were very well decorated with flowers. Hot tea, cold drinks, Indian snacks and sweets were served.

      There were close to two hundred people who enjoyed this memorable event. Aman Singh, the principal of the Punjabi School, gave a wonderful interesting speech. After Aman Singh was done speaking, vice principal Kamal Sandhu and Harprit Kaur (Who came all the way from India) began to emcee the event. There were also some students who spoke about what they have learned in the Punjabi School and they also reflected on some of the memorable things that they did in their Punjabi School over the years.  

      Over all, Punjabi School Graduation was a great success. These celebrations allow our spirits to grow in a way that is positive on others lives and encourages young generation to participate in Punjabi programs. Around 9 p.m. food was served and everybody enjoyed it. After the food, people began to socialize again and start dancing. Aman Singh, the principal of the Punjabi School, thanked all the participating students, their parents, teachers, and especially vice principal Kamal Sandhu. Everyone who attended the event went home with a Christmas goody mug full of treats.This celebration of culture and learning was a memorable and joyous occasion for all that attended.
