On March 17, 2016, Senator Tony Mendoza spoke passionately on the issues concerning brain injury and introduced the Senate Bill SCR 110 which was approved unanimously.
Senator Mendoza introduced the officers of Brain Injury Association of California and introduced Mr. & Mrs. KV Kumar. Senator Mendoza had full of praise for the work KV Kumar had done for the people with brain injury and their families which led to passing of the 1996 TBI Act by U.S. Congress.
During the conversation before the official ceremony, Ms. Lynda Eaton, BIA, CA mentioned that because of the 1996 TBI Act, their Association is receiving grants to help people with brain injury and their families.
