An amazing Indian Cultural and Deepawali Event first time with a Grand Success celebrated on Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Artesia community Center which was organized by the Indian Cultural Society of Los Angeles California. The program started around 10am with an Indian Music and Deepawali video.



The Hall was packed with all kinds of people wearing different bright color outfits and close to 800 people observed the cultural program. Another interesting thing in the program was a mix of Hindi and Punjabi performances which is a great way to bring our Indian Culture together. City Council Member Tony Lima also attended this program and spoke few words about this Cultural program. Other Guests of Honor were, Alieesa Badresia a famous Hollywood and Bollywood Film Star with Indian traditions and family values, Bruce Barrows City of Cerrito Council Member,Tony Mendoza City of Artesia Assemblyman, Victor Manalo Mayer of Artesia, Carol Chen Mayor of Cerritos were present there who celebrated this cultural program with our community. 

ICS is a prominent organization in Greater Los Angeles area, is supported by several community organizations in Southern California. Members and Champions are dedicated in nurturing and sharing Indian culture values by engaging in grass-root projects to build stronger communities and improving human conditions across the globe. ICSLA also inspires young generation leaders in planning, coordinating and organizing traditional Indian Cultural programs and also engaged in fostering and promoting Indian Cultural values.

Very well coordinated, great performances and Rangoli competition really made the place and the environment colorful. More than 30 participants took part in the cultural activities. The presence of mayors from two cities and a celebrity combined with their short, sweet and to the point speeches' made the event even more memorable. The Raffle prizes were really attractive and Finally, the size of the crowd was just perfect.

MC’s was performed by Alka Patel and Joy Dhokia who did a great job, speaks to the audience, and generally keeps the event moving. There were few brief speeches from Board of Directors and Executive Committee members. Around 6pm, the very last, Vijay Patil and P.K. Nayak, Co- Founders of the Indian Cultural Society of Los Angeles (ICSLA) thanked the working committee members, Executive Committee members, volunteers and all the sponsors.
