Exactly 13 weeks after the discovery of the body of Amarjit Chohan, an NRI millionaire businessman, the body of his wife Nancy was found floating in the sea on July 15, Scotland Yard said today.

Nancy’s body was found in Poole Bay, Dorset. A post-mortem examination was carried out the following day and DNA tests confirmed it was her body, a Scotland Yard spokeswoman said.

She said detectives were not releasing a cause of the death at this stage but are treating her death as murder.

Chohan, 46, who had a £ 4 million worth fruit import business, went missing from his home in Heston, West London, with Nancy, 25, her sons Devinder and Ravinder and her mother Charanjit Kaur, 51, on February 16.

A police investigation was launched after an alarm was raised by Nancy’s brother, a resident of New Zealand.

He flew in here after finding no response from Nancy to repeated telephonic calls. Chohan’s body was found floating in the sea close to Bournemouth Pier in Dorset on April 22.

The rest of the family remain missing. Peter Rees, 38, of King’s Close, Hampshire, has been charged with the murder of Chohan and with preventing his burial.
