CALIFORNIA REPUBLICAN PARTY ENDORSES RICKY GILL 

     
LODI, CA, March 12, 2012 - The California Republican Party announced today that it has endorsed Congressional candidate Ricky Gill, a small business owner and family farmer who is challenging Rep. Jerry McNerney (D-Pleasanton) in California's 9th District.     

"I'm proud to have earned the endorsement of the California Republican Party and of all three county parties in the 9th Congressional District," said Gill. "I also know, however, that our task is just beginning--and I'll keep working hard to ensure our Valley and Delta communities send a truly local voice to Congress in 2012."    

Last week, Gill earned the endorsement of all three Republican Party organizations representing counties in the 9th District: the San Joaquin County Republican Party, Contra Costa Republican Party, and Sacramento County Republican Party. Each of those endorsements required Gill to earn a two-thirds majority vote from the county's Republican Party central committee.  

Gill, who has raised more than $1 million to date, also has received endorsements from national and local leaders including South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and longtime San Joaquin Valley Congressman Norman D. Shumway.
