May 2005).
Cllr Grewal, who is also
a councillor on the Hounslow Heath ward, joined
the council in 1988 and is a former Executive

Hospital.
Cllr Grewal has lived

Punjab University and was an international
basketball player for the India team. He is
currently a Governor for The Heathland School
in Hounslow.
Speaking of his appointment,
Cllr Grewal said:
"I am delighted and truly
honoured to take on the role of Mayor of our
Borough. I am looking forward to a year in
which I can do my best to promote the London
Borough of Hounslow, serve our community,
and work towards a safe and harmonious Hounslow.
I also aim to dedicate my time to promoting
and raising funds for local charities.”
