N. Gobalakrishnan resigns from all posts in PKR

Member of Parliament for Padang Serai N. Gobalakrishnan and Ex- (PKR) Parti Keadilan Rakyat supreme council member announced his resignation from all party positions with immediate effect. He said: · Good morning to all Malaysians. I herebby announce that I am resigning from all the posts I am holding in PKR and will continue my career through a new non-governmental organisation · These are coordinated moves by the Azmin Ali-Anwar cartel. I am one of very few people in the party calling for investigations into party elections· I would not be join the ranks of “Barisan-friendly” independent MPs.
· I am not BN friendly. I am going to concentrate on my own NGO which aims to uplift the standard of living of former estate workers and other poor communities.· I have been approached by PAS and DAP leaders but I am keeping my options open because I will only work with a party that fits well with my NGO,”This has nothing to do with Tenang, (but) because my division called for a meeting today (Sunday) without my knowledge, I decided to call it quits yesterday (Saturday),” Gobalakrishnan, told the local news papers

BIO:
N Gobalakrishnan (Gobalakrishnan a/l Nagapan, Y.B. Tuan)was born in 1960 in Sitiawan,( Perak), Malaysia, the seventh of nine children. He is married to a former athlete, Vasanthi Ramalingam, and has three children.
- In 1981, he got electrical engineering degree from Kolej Sultan Ahmad Shah. He is currently the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Padang Serai constituency in Kedah. He was elected as a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR) in the opposition Pakatan Rakyat coalition.
- In 2009, he was arrested for allegedly using criminal force to obstruct a police officer, later found guilty and fined 3,000 ringgit
In 2010, he resigned from the party the following month to sit as an independent, announcing plans to form a non-governmental organisation because he did not like the way Anwar Ibrahim make way for his daughter Nurul Izzah Anw
