Surati Cash N Carry Attracts Huge Crowd at Grand Opening in Artesia

Artesia: Surati Cash N Carry attracted huge crowd at their grand opening celebration on Saturday, October 27, 2012. They had three cash registers opened, yet the lines of customers with overloaded carts with groceries extended all the way to the end of the store. Owner Munish Makkar who also owns Ambala Cash N carry in Artesia, was bubbling with happiness with turnout of large number of customers. The store is family owned, very clean and well stocked.

Manu Patel, President of Artesia Chamber of Commerce facilitated the opening of the store. Inder Singh, Chairman of Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) was called upon to do the ribbon cutting ceremony. Many local community activists, including Ashok Madan, Executive Director of NFIA were present at the opening ceremony. Popular Media persons from Indian newspapers and NRIpress.com worldwide NRI's most popular and fastest growing Network media group also took interview of Mr. Munish Makkar.
All the guests and customers were treated with sumptuous lunch.
The store grand opening sale offered very attractive prices for many items which attracted huge crowd. The sale would continue through November 18, 2012. Any customer buying grocery worth $200 was getting free pressure cooker. The store
owner gave surprise gift to the first 25 customers. He also offered LCD 3D TV for raffle.
Mr. Munish Makkar is a multi-talented entrepreneur who also own HURRY CURRY INDIAN FOOD, Los Angeles, CA and Ambala Cash and Carry in Indian bazar in Artesia (one block of Surati). According to one customer, Munish believes in honesty, hardworking, soft spoken and down to earth.
