Sue Ramanathan wil serve as members of the state,
national security, defense, intelligence and arms control agency
review team.
Sue Ramanathan is counsel to the U.S. Senate Homeland
Security & Governmental Affairs Committee. Her responsibilities
on the committee staff include border security, visa, and immigration
policy issues. Before joining the committee staff in the 110th
Congress, Ms. Ramanathan worked as a Senior Analyst with the Government
Accountability Office's Homeland Security and Justice team. Prior
to her time at GAO, Ms. Ramanathan served as the Chief Counsel
and Deputy Staff Director to the Democratic Staff of the U.S.
House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security in the
109th Congress, and as Counsel & Professional Staff on the
House Select Committee on Homeland Security in the 108th Congress.
Ms. Ramanathan served as Senior Policy Advisor and
Counsel to Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, from the 105th through the
107th Congress focusing on tax and trade policy, immigration and
homeland security issues. Ms. Ramanathan holds an LL.M. in international
and comparative law from Georgetown University Law Center, a J.D.
from Rutgers School of Law, and a B.A. in political science from
Rutgers College
