Air India started new flight operations between Chandigarh and Dharamsala. 

Dharamsala, November 16, 2019

• The scheduled flight was welcomed at Gaggal airport in Dharamsala at 10:55 am with 20 passengers on board
• Weekend fare will be Rs 3,300. 
• Weekly one fare will be Rs. 1,700

Now ther will be three flights from Gaggal airport in Dharamsala ( existing two flights to New Delhi and one to Chandigarh)

• The nearest airport to Dharamshala is Gaggal Airport and the IATA code for the same is DHM.
  Currently, there are 3 airlines operating flights between the two destinations and approximately 2 flights take off from Chandigarh to Dharamshala every week.

US Air Force to authorize  NRI Sikhs to wear a turban

A1C Bajwa enlisted in the Air Force in 2017, eager to give back by serving his country. At the time, he was not permitted to practice certain Sikh beliefs due to Air Force grooming and dress rules, Sikh American Legal Defence, and Education Fund (SALDEF) said.

NRI Ami Bera Congressman:

• He applauded the decision of the US Air Force to authorize NRI Sikh to wear a turban, beard, and long beard in adherence to his religious beliefs. 
• NRI Sikhs have long played an important role in protecting and defending our nation
• It is only right that these patriots be able to serve while in their religious attire and I urge the Department of Defence to expand these religious accommodations and make them more easily accessible

In 2017, the Army became the first military branch to allow Sikh Americans to receive career-long accommodations to wear articles of faith.
