Ontario:
In Mississauga South Brampton Navdeep Singh Bains, a Liberal, is going
against Conservative Parminder Sandhu.
In Mississauga-Streetsville election riding, there is Liberal Wajid
Khan, Conservative Nina Tangri and New Democratic Party's Majinder Rai.
The Green Party's Sanjeev Goel is running from Brampton West. Rupinder
Nannar (Conservative), Troy Ramcharitar (NDP) and Mir Kamal (Green)
are trying their muscle against incumbent Liberal Roy Cullen in Etobicoke
North in Toronto, another heavily South Asian area.
Incumbent Liberal MP Gurbax Malhi, is running again from his Barmalea-Gore-Malton
precinct, as is Conservative party hopeful Raminder Gill.
In the Brampton, Springdale, Mississauga areas in suburban Toronto,
which houses the largest concentration of Indo-Canadians, there's Liberal
Party nominee Ruby Dhalla, a novice politician, opposed by Conservative
Party choice Gurjit Grewal.

being challenged by Liberal Sukh Dhaliwal.
NDP candidate Pummy Kaur is going against several other party candidates
in the South Surrey-White Rock-Cloverdale riding. In Surrey North, NDP's
Jaswant Singh Cheema and Green Party's Sunny Athwal are trying their
luck.
A former New Democratic Party (NDP) leader and one-time Premier of
British Columbia Ujjal Dosanjh, who has switched parties and become
a Liberal Party candidate from Vancouver South precinct from where former
Liberal MP Herb Dhaliwal was elected several times. Prime Minister Paul
Martin had removed him from his cabinet post. Dhaliwal is not seeking
re-election
