Great Khali"
attends the reception given by Diamond Bar NRI community

Reception for a world class Wrestler Mr. Dalip Singh Rana known
all over the world as” KHALI “ was held today in the
evening at Diamond Palace, Diamond Bar, California. It was organized
by the Diamond Bar community members. The organizers were Mr.
Swaran Dabgotra of NRIpress.com and Mr. Surinder Bhogal. There
were over 100 invited guests. The guests started arriving at 6
PM.
Mr. Khali was honored and awarded by Mr. Swaran Dabgotra with
a trophy
While the guests were enjoying the snacks and drinks, the famous
world wrestler Mr. KHALI entered the beautiful banquet hall at
7 PM and the enthusiastic crowd cheered and started clapping.
It was a great seen. People were so attracted to see this 7’4”
tall/big man. It was a very big attraction. Every one young, old,
male or female wanted to get a picture with the star. That lasted
for about 30 minutes.
Mr. Surinder Bhogal introduced him and shed some light on Mr.
Khali’s life and his achievements. Then Mr. Dabgotra recited
a short poem which he wrote on Khali sahib. “Khali ne Khallal
Macha Ditta, which Akhade aan ke Te Goreyan noo Bharthu Paa Ditta”
The audience applauded on every verse. Every one really enjoyed.
Mr. Khali addressed the audience for a few minutes. He thanked
the organizers and the fans/audience for the love and respect
given to him. He said he is thankful to God for everything in
life he has achieved.
There was another celebrity Mr. Puneet Issar. Who is a very famous
actor from Bollywood Film Industry. His presence added more color
and fun to the evening and made it more enjoyable. He was also
recognized and awarded a cerficate by Mr. Balwinder Garcha a well
known personality in the Indian community. Mr. Punnet Issar also
thanked everyone and at the request of the audience repeated some
of the dialogues from his old movies. That brought more cheers
in the hall.
At 9 PM very delicious dinner was served and then Mr. Khali requested
to Mr. Swaran Dabgotra to recite the poem once again. At the end
there was a vote of thanks and Good Bye.
