Empowering Indian Workers: Labor Awareness Program Organized

In a proactive effort to support and empower Indian workers in Dubai, the Consulate General of India recently organized a comprehensive Labor Awareness Programme. The event, held in collaboration with local authorities and organizations, aimed to address crucial aspects of health and financial management for the Indian workforce residing in the UAE.
The highlight of the program was its coinciding with an 'iftar', a significant event during the holy month of Ramadan. Around 200 workers, along with members of the company management teams, gathered to partake in the 'iftar', fostering a sense of community and solidarity among attendees.
During the program, a team of medical professionals from Prime Healthcare conducted health check-ups for the workers, ensuring their well-being and providing essential medical guidance. Simultaneously, representatives from the Bank of Baroda offered valuable insights into financial literacy, equipping the workers with knowledge on effective financial management and tips to safeguard against banking fraud.
The initiative underscores the Consulate General's commitment to supporting the welfare and interests of the Indian diaspora in the UAE. By addressing key concerns related to health and financial literacy, the program seeks to empower Indian workers and enhance their overall quality of life while residing and working abroad.
The Consulate General expressed gratitude to all participating organizations, volunteers, and attendees for their active involvement and contribution to the success of the Labor Awareness Programme.
