A
vote for any Congress candidate is a vote for Dr Manmohan Singh.
Ludhiana, April 22, 2009
This election is important. We simply cannot risk India's first
Sikh Prime Minister not continuing in office.
As you now I have been working hard for the success
of Manish Tewari who is contesting from Ludhiana and Mr Sukhdev
Singh Libra who is standing from Fatehgarh Sahib.
Your support is critical. Please contact all your
friends, relatives and associates.
Electioneering is now going to get hectic.
My daily schedule will now include campaigning in
villages from 8.30am to 5.00pm.
Then there will be a meeting at Mullanpur Town each
day at 6pm, followed by 7pm and 8pm rallies in Ludhiana city.
From 9pm there will be home visits in Ludhiana.

me I will be available daily at the Majestic Park Plaza hotel
from 7.30am to 8am in the main Reception area.

of contacts. I will be only to happy to call them for support.
Mr Libra
deserves our support
Part of my Qila Raipur Constituency now falls under
the Fategarh Sahib
Parliamentary Constituency. This area consists of:

Khatra,
Dhaul Kalan, Dhaul Khurd, Jammat, Kulahar,Nanakpur Jaghera,Pandher

Kalan, Nangal Kalan, Nangal Khurd, Pakhowal, Rachhin, Rajgarh,
Shahpur,
Tungaheri)
Mr Libra deserves our support for being an honest
politician and for
supporting Dr Manmohan Singh in the trust vote last year. He is
a far more
honourable person that the father and son duo that current rules
and loots
Punjab.
It makes me proud that he did not buckle under intense pressure
from the
Badal's.
Sukhdev Singh Libra forever made his mark as a man of great strength
by
voting for his principles and the betterment of the nation (instead
of
against the UPA) in the now famous trust vote of July 2008.
Sukhdev Singh Libra has a long history of concrete action, having
sat in the
Vidhan Sabha between 1985-88, the Rajya Sabha from July 1988 and
held
positions in various departments and committees from Scheduled
Castes to
Science & Technology.
Elected to the Lok Sabha in 2004, Sukhdev Singh Libra became a
symbol of
integrity and courage when, as an SAD seat holder, he refused
to vote
against the government in accordance with SAD wishes in the anti
Manmohan
Singh government trust vote in July 2008.
A keen agriculturalist and Punjabi, we are now proud to have Sukhdev
Singh
Libra seek to represent Congress in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
His
integrity and strength, which the SAD leadership called "betrayal"
shows
that he is prepared, in his own words, to "make any sacrifice"
for India and
it's people.
"The nuclear deal is in favour of the country and for me
country's interest
comes before the party" Libra said after his expulsion from
the SAD in July,
along with that he could not vote against a Sikh PM. It is this
conviction
and sense of correctness that prompts me to ask you to support
Sukhdev Singh
Libra in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
You can call Mr Libra directly on +91 9868181006, 9814538006,
9417791006.
Please contact your friends and family to ensure Mr Libra's success.

Jassi
Khangura’s Appeal: "Support Manish Tewari"
April 08, 2009
Over the past 5 years I have worked closely with
Manish Tewari and am writing to you to ask you to support him
for the Ludhiana seat at the upcoming elections. Manish is a man
of strong ethics, clear direction, and a great ability to express
the needs and wishes of the constituency (urban, semi urban and
rural) at the Centre in the Lok Sabha. Not only do I support Manish
because he is from the same Congress background, but because I
think he is the best man for the job.
About Manish
Manish Tewari, Secretary and Spokesman of the All India Congress,
seeks to represent the people of Ludhiana in the 2009 Parliamentary
Elections. Despite a narrow loss in 2004, Manish has ceaselessly
worked towards our area’s betterment. His position in the
Centre is also a strong acknowledgement of his credibility and
high standing, and his ability to ensure Ludhiana’s voice
is heard: a great asset for any candidate.
A History of Action
Manish Tewari comes from a long line of proactive, Punjab loving
people who helped shape him into the man he is today.
From the age of 4 Manish Tiwari became politically aware –
sitting at the feet of his grandfather Sardar Tirath Singh Guram,
Advocate and participant in the freedom struggle alongside Sardar
Bhagat Singh ji, who inculcated the virtues of a corruption free
political system, patriotism and hard won freedom.
Manish Tewari’s father, Dr Vishwa Nath Tewari was an ardent
Punjab lover, professor of Punjabi and the Bhai Vir Singh Chair
in Punjab University, Chandigarh, writing over 40 books and poetry
based in the Sikh Guru traditions.
Manish’s father’s passion for Punjab and Punjabiat
and his campaign against Chandigarh’s allocation to Haryana
contributed to his being honored with the National Sahit Akadami
Award and being nominated to the Rajya Sabha.
Manish’s mother, Dr Amrit Kaur, a highly skilled dentist
became Dean of PGI Chandigarh was awarded the Padma Shree for
her outstanding research in national community health.
So I feel it is no wonder that Manish inherited a passion to
work for his state. But he took his own path and has been a serious
Congress worker since, whilst studying law, Rajiv Gandhi Ji made
him Joint Secretary of the All India NSUI in 1984. During this
tenure, and only 18 years old, Manish had to face the tragedy
of the assassination of his father during the militancy. Despite
this he continued the fight for a more just society and was promoted
to Secretary from 1985-1988 and President from 1988-1993.
An ardent worker, Manish became, in 1992, the first Asian to
be elected President of the International Union of Students. In
1998 he became President of All India Youth Congress.
Your vote counts on 13 May 2009
We ask that when you or your family vote this May, you vote for
Manish Tewari. He is a national level leader who wants to work
for his area, his ancestral villages (Daburji and Kartarpur) and
the city he grew up in.
As a youth, Manish Tewari made a pure, corruption free political
system his ideal and objective. It remains so to this day. I therefore
ask that in 2009 you, too, stand up for the ideals of betterment
of Punjab by voting for Manish, the only candidate who can truly
represent the people of Ludhiana at all levels.
Share this story with your family and friends. Because I believe
that now you know where Manish stands, you will know there is
no other way to vote.
A vote for Manish Tewari is a vote for Dr Manmohan Singh Ji.
