PC Candidate NRI Prab Gill won crucial Calgary byelection

On Nov. 23, 2015, NRI Manmeet Bhullar, Conservative legislature member from Calgary Greenway
 was killed in a highway crash after he stopped his car to help  other  motorist, became  vacant. Bhullar was standing outside his vehicle when another passing vehicle lost control and hit him. He succumbed to his injuries in a hospital. Manmeet Bhullar was elected  in the 2012 and 2015 elections.

The Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta and the Calgary-Greenway PC Association announced Prab Gill, the duly nominated candidate for the Calgary-Greenway by-election taking place on March 22nd, 2016. Here are the results from the Calgary-Greenway constituency  on March 22, 2016 declared:

• Prab Gill, PC: 2,292 (27.7%)
• Devinder Toor, Wildrose: 1,957 (23.6%)
• Khalil Karbani, Liberal: 1,870 (22.6)
• Roop Rai, NDP: 1,667 (20.1%)
• Thana Boonlert, Green: 166 (2%)
• Said Abdulbaki, Independent: 146 (1.7%)
• Larry Heather, Independent: 106 (1.2%)
• Sukhi Rai, Independent: 61 (0.7%)

NRI PC candidate Prabhdeep ( Prab) Gill, 41, real estate appraiser by profession, said, “Manmeet Bhullar  was just on a different level. But I know what his vision was, I know where he wanted the community to go.”
