NRI, Ketan N. Gandhi has been apponted president
and publisher of Home News Tribune. "I
want to hear from my customers what I'm not
doing for them and fill that void," said
Gandhi, who was named to the post yesterday.
Home News Tribune is also in the information
business, Gandhi plans to adapt to the fundamental
changes in the news business by supplementing
printed pages with extra Web content and enhancing
nondaily products.
NRI, Gandhi has spent 19 years with Gannett
Co., most recently as vice president of finance
and controller for Gannett's Atlantic Group
and the head of the Asbury Park Press's circulation
and online divisions.
Ketan N. Gandhi received Gannett's top corporate
honor, the Chairman's Ring, in 2003 for his
work in finance. He has also been honored with
three President's Rings, also a top honor within
the company.
NRI Gandhi, who succeeded earlier this month
the retiring publisher John Ziomek, received
the chairman's ring for his work in finance
in 2003. He has also been given three president's
rings--another top honour.
Alluding to his rise from the staff accountant
position in 1986 at Valley News dispatch, a
Gannett newspaper in Pennsylvania, to the top
management job at the tribune, Gandhi said,
''this proves that this is a great company and
business to be in.''
Gandhi has an MBA from Indiana University
of Pennsylvania, a BA degree in accounting from
Bombay University and a diploma in business
management from a local college in Mumbai
He married to Jocelyn and they have two daughters
Emily 9 yrs and Ava 5 yrs old
