Ad spending on the internet continues to boom. A new report
released today by the Internet Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers
says web ad spending soared 33% in the third quarter of
2006 over the same quarter in 2005. Companies spent an estimated
$4.2 billion for online ads in Q3-2006, a new record for
a single quarter. The IAB estimates ad spending for all
of 2006 will end up around $16 billion, easily eclipsing
the $12.5. billion spent last year.
