Los Angeles, Califronia:  The highly anticipated Miss /Mr. /Mrs. India America 2013 Pageant, a showcase of beauty and talent, was a grand success.

Attractive and talented Semi Finalists were competing at Spirit of India’s 21st Annual Pageant on Saturday, August 24th, 2013 at the LAX Renaissance Hotel. The pageant was presented by Homestead, in association with Star TV, Sacramento Kings, JNB, South Asia Magazine, and JINmodels.com. The star-studded red carpet gala followed by fusion Indian dinner catered by SPICE Hollywood.

Billed as a first class production, it was a big buzz as top celebrities from Hollywood and Bollywood walked down the red carpet, greeted the fans and posed for pictures.  Many executives from the entertainment industry, great contestants, top-notch entertainment, and plenty of glamour highlighted the event. South Asia Magazine revealed another hot, highly anticipated issue on the red carpet.

The Presenter of MISS INDIA GLOBE - Homestead’s COO Manoj Shrivastava mentioned, “A thing of beauty is a joy forever! For us, the relevance of this age old adage goes beyond the realm of human beauty to luxurious abodes. Ms. Jinnder Chohaan produced and coordinated this grand event very well.  Producer/Director Kunal Kohli (Teri Meri Kahani, Fanaa, Hum Tum, Break Ke Baad), Singer Raghav (‘Ishq Shava’ Jab Tak Hai Jaan), TV actress Rubina Dilaik (Choti Bahu), Navi Rawat (The OC, Numbers), Kevin Sorbo (Hercules), French supermodel Nabilla, and the Hollywood Producer Sunil Perkash (Salt, Premonition, Enchanted) were also at the  Miss India Globe 2013, presented by Homestead, with Mr./Miss/Mrs. India America 2013 on August 24th.

The evening brought awareness on the JAGRITI charity group and their work with domestic violence issues in the South Asian Community. South Asia Magazine also revealed their latest issue with cover girl - French supermodel Nabilla Benattia- she was at the event and thrilled with her cover.

THE ELITE AWARDS 2013 ceremony also took place during the pageant. The recipients for this year’s Elite Awards were:

Bollywood producer/director Kunal Kohli (Fanaa, Hum Tum), singer Raghav, Actress Navi Rawat (Numbers, The OC), Hollywood producer Sunil Perkash (Salt, Premonition).

The red carpet walk-through began at 6:30PM with the leading personalities which included:

Singer Raghav,  Bollywood Director/Producer Kunal Kohli (Teri Meri Kahani, Fanaa, Hum Tum, etc.), owner of Sacramento Kings basketball team - VIVEK RANADIVE (current owner of Sacramento Kings and ex-owner of Golden State Warriors), actress Rubina Dilaik (Zee TV's Choti Bahu fame), French supermodel Nabilla (her camera crew  attended to shoot for her reality show in France), Hollywood Producer Sunil Perkash (Salt w. Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock, Enchanted w. Amy Adams), actress Judi Shekoni (Twilight-Breaking Dawn), actress Navi Rawat (Numbers, The OC), actor Kevin Sorbo (Hercules), actor Dennis Haysbert (24, The Unit), singer David Osmond (American Idols, and nephew of Donny and Marie Osmond), actor David Bernhardt (Matrix, Hunger Games 2), international model FABIO, actress Alice Amter (Good Girl, A Man Apart), actor Hakeem Kae Kazim (Pirates of the Caribbean, Hotel Rwanda), actress Tehmina Sunny (Argo), host Daniel Thompson (Flip Men), host Todd Howard (World's Worst Tenants), actress Kavi Ladnier (Heroes), and  many others from Hollywood entertainment industry.

Mr. Sunil A. Tolani, a leading entrepreneur (Hotels/motels) and philanthropist and his wife Neela Tolani made their presence felt by sponsoring five contestants, whose words were inspiring on the Red Carpet, “Hello Contestants!! You are fortunate and blessed to write the script of your life, just make sure you write it big, dream big to make a difference in this world. I believe in fact everyone should have a chance to write the script, share story of their awesome lives and inspire this beautiful world”.

Entertainment for the night included crowd-pleasing performances by singer Anjali Dea and singer Raghav, as well as a fashion show by Rubina Dilaik (TV actress of Choti Bahu) under her brand S. Beatus.

There was also a DJ dance party by DJ Scorpio after the pageant to winners and celebrities. SPIRIT OF INDIA has successfully created and produced pageants for 21 years now, some of their prestigious titles include: Mr. & Miss India Globe, Mr. /Miss/Mrs. South Asia, Mr. /Miss/Mrs. India America, Mr./Miss/Mrs. India California, Mr. /Miss/Mrs. India Galaxy, etc.  The co-producers of the event are, JIN Model Management (JIN models.com), promoting South Asians around the world in entertainment (movies, TV, commercials, South Asia Magazine.)

This main event was preceded by a private party on Friday, August 23rd, at Haveli Restaurant in Artesia, CA.  It was hosted and presented by the Homestead Corporation.  Homestead partners Bridge Street CEO Sean Worker, Walter Dembiec, Jr., from New York, Vivek Shukla and Sidharth Misra from New Delhi and Bombay were also present and recognized for their support and sponsorship of the event.  It was a gala night that started with a video presentation of fine high rise apartments being promoted in Gurgaon near Delhi, which cost from one million Dollars to 5 million approximately.  Avi Naurang is their local partner in California.  Also present was Deepesh Bhargava, President of Gems & Minerals, with a fine showcase of jewelry pieces for the contestants. The video presentation was followed up with music by DJ Davinder of Balle Balle Entertainment and a belly dance show by dancers Pragati and Loree of Haseen Dance Company. Jinnder Chohaan of JIN Models, and Maryam of Orange County took care of the logistics of organizing the event.

• Best Catwalk 2013 - Pavan Basra
• Best Fresh Face 2013 - Shivani Gupt
