allegedly swindled an NRI, a resident of DLF Phase-II,
of Rs 62,000.
The victim, Satnam Singh, met the woman a year ago

involved with her but was allegedly misled by her
claim of having inherited property worth crores from
her England-based father.
She told Singh that she needed financial support
to retrieve the money, the police said.
She allegedly demanded a sum of Rs 7.5 lakh and promised
to return the amount later, in foreign currency. She
told him that she will send her friends to collect
the money from him.
A month ago, Singh met a property dealer, Surendra
Kumar, and two Nigerian nationals who asked Singh
to pay Rs 2.5 lakh for opening a joint bank account
between him and the woman.
Unable to dole out the entire amount, Singh paid
a sum of Rs 62,000. Meanwhile, Singh continued to
chat with the woman.
But whenever he tried take out the topic of financial
help, she ignored it. Singh expected the three to
return after a month but they never showed their faces
again.
Meanwhile, the police have lodged an FIR against
the property dealer and the two Nigerians but have
spared the woman for the moment.
Said senior superintendent of police (SSP) Hanif
Qureshi: "Singh got suspicious and filed a complaint
against the three on Sunday. He however did not mention
the name of the woman in the FIR.
We have lodged an FIR against the three but have
