Mallika Sherawat is now staying in Los Angeles for Hollywood film named "Hisss" starring Irrfan Khan, directed by Jennifer Lynch. Hisss” is a story of a Naagin, played by Mallika, who sets out to find a mate with a vengeance.

Mallika received the LA Honorary Citizenship on August 14, 2009. She was also voted as one of Asia's 100 most beautiful people by the Hong Kong based fashion and beauty magazine.

Mallika arrived in a stretch limousine, with fans and media channels waiting outside for her. The actress was mobbed for an hour by fans and press, signing autographs and doing interviews.

"I'm honored to be the first Asian star to be invited to Twitter. Jai Ho!" gushed an excited Mallika.

The sexy siren has a popular Bollywood presence on Twitter via her page ‘@MallikaLA’. She is in-fact the most ‘followed’ Bollywood celebrity on Twitter with more than 2500 fans keen on knowing what the sexy actress is up-to.

Mallika Sherawat (by birth name- Reema Lamba), Indian actress and model, was born in Karnal, Haryana, India on October 24, 1981. "Sherawat" is her mother's maiden name.

Mallika went to school at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road. She has obtained a degree in Indian philosophy from Miranda House, Delhi University.

She maintain such sleek tummy and slim posture despite being a Mom of a boy.

Mallika Sherawat has limits about exposing, might be known for her bold style statements and her bold dressing sense. But when it came to stripping for her upcoming movie “Hisss” (pictured above), she flatly refused to go nude.

In one of the scenes, Mallika had to transform into a snake and that required her to slither and wriggle in the mud. While doing so, some certain parts of her body, including her bottom, had to be exposed. Mallika did not want to show her bottom and hence she asked for a body double to do the scene. Director Jennifer Lynch had to give in to Mallika’s request and agree on a body double.

• She got a small role in a Jackie Chan movie, The Myth- widely publicized appearance at the Cannes Film Festival to promote The Myth.
• In 2006, she became popular with co-starring Rahul Bose in film "Pyaar Ke Side Effects" . She played a small role in Dasavathaaram after her item number in a Tamil film.
• In 2007, She played a "vampish role" in Himesh Reshammiya's Aap Ka Suroor - The Real Love Story

Playboy magazine: She is the first Indian woman, who got an offer to pose nude for Playboy magazine and appear on the cover. Mallika turned down the offer in an attempt to avoid the risk of being blacklisted in the Indian film industry.

In 2005, she wore Rs 45 million diamonds at the Cannes Film Festival and nine sets of jewelery were especially designed for her including diamond studded necklaces, bracelets and earrings. In 2006, she went on her first world tour of concert performances called Rock Stars along with Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapur, Zayed Khan, Esha Deol, and John Abraham.

Her favorite films are Sholay (1975), Silsila (1981) and Masoom (1983).
