Seema Singh as NJ State Public
Advocate is the most senior level
Asian-Indian in state government.
New Jersey, April 30, 2004: Seema Singh, an attorney,
is the first public advocate since the post was abolished eight
years ago by former Gov. Christie Whitman. The public advocate
is a state-financed agency that often tackles government on behalf
of private citizens. Gov. James E. McGreevey named Seema Singh
as New Jersey public advocate.
