Chandigarh, March 15, 2004
UK police had announced a reward of Rs 50 lakh to anyone
who gave some clue to arrest Mahinderpal Kohli. Kholi fled to India
on March 18, two days after Hannah's body was found dumped in undergrowth
by the side of a road in Southampton
Detective Police Superintendent Allen Baits, arrived
here with team from England, to arrest Mahinderpal Kohli, who was allegedly
involved in the kidnapping, rape and murder of a British girl, Hanna
Hosten, in March last year. He met senior Punjab Police officials here
and sought their cooperation to nab Kohli.
After committing the crime adding that a manhunt was
being carried out in Punjab as he was last seen near Chandigarh. The
Punjab police assured the UK team of their full support to nab the accused.
