A PRAYERFUL REFLECTION:
Recalling my childhood and my last nearly six decades in Indiana, I was deeply moved by this unexpected honor of a Lifetime Achievement Award. Thinking of my lessons, family values, my journey and amazing mentors and beloved friends, it is hardly
a time to sit on any laurels. In my brief remarks of acceptance of my surprise Award, I remembered the English poet William Blake reminded us: "Clasp hands and know the thoughts of men (fellow beings) in other lands." I translated that as knowing & learning; striving and sharing; serving and impacting; acknowledging and empowering; investing and celebrating; supporting and championing ideas and causes that uplift a "Village at our Crossroads."
Being an engaged citizen, multiplying our strengths, and enlightening and magnifying our understanding about our new neighbors and pioneers. Many cultures, traditions and gifted pioneers and farsighted dreamers are already here and today a part of Hoosier landscape and community fabric. I have dedicated a better part of my freedom as a self-employed Hoosier - as an artist, writer and as a citizens passionate advocate to advance the solemn spiritual and humanitarian reminder of our Oneness as a Human Family with a rich tapestry of faiths, cultures and tradition, and honor our individual sacred lessons and put our collective uniqueness to service. It is wise to remember the journey that we have "Miles fo Go - Robert Frost" and our destination is always a work in progress.
Today, and on several past occasions, you have showered me with much kindness. I will always carry that close to my heart. With a deepest respect and humility, I extend my gratitude to my parents and family, to my friends and thoughtful well-wishers.
I do not have the right words to express my gratitude to the Highest Spirit that placed me here and to receive such incredible honor and acceptance as a proud Hoosier American. Respectfully, Kanwal Prakash KP Singh (KP Singh Designs) - Indianapolis, Indiana USA - August 29, 2026
