NHS (National Health Service) worker NRI Anita Mukhey, 66, was tragically stabbed to death in broad daylight on a London high street, marking a shocking incident that has left the community in mourning.
The incident occurred at Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware, around 11:50 am on Thursday. Anita Mukhey, described as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, was also known for her part-time role as a medical secretary in the NHS.
In a statement released through the Metropolitan Police, Mukhey's family shared their devastation, accompanied by a poignant picture of her smiling and holding one of her grandchildren. They requested privacy during this difficult period.
A memorial service on Sunday honored Mukhey's memory, highlighting the profound loss felt by the community. Survived by her husband Hari, daughter Laila, son Dev, and two grandchildren, Mukhey's passing has deeply affected those who knew her.

The Metropolitan Police issued a plea to refrain from sharing distressing footage of the incident circulating on social media, emphasizing the impact on grieving families.
Jalal Debella, 22, from Colindale, has been charged with Mukhey's murder. As the investigation continues, the police have clarified that they are not seeking additional suspects, deeming the attack an isolated incident. Debella appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court and is set to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday
