NRI Saurabh Sharma
Bio:
NRI Saurabh Sharma is from Bangalore, India. He is a proud naturalized U.S. citizen and has lived in various cities across the country, including Lexington, Seattle, Austin, and Alexandria, where he currently resides. He graduated with a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in 2019.
Saurabh Sharma serves as the President of American Moment and co-hosts its podcast, Moment of Truth. In his role, he manages the organization’s personnel development, fundraising, and coalition-building efforts. With a strong track record of leadership in young conservative organizations, Saurabh is known for his expertise in fundraising, organizing, and motivating young conservatives to influence public policy.
He is also the former Chairman of Young Conservatives of Texas, a prominent state-based youth conservative group. He made history as the youngest State Chairman since the organization’s founder, leading it to new heights during his tenure.
In recognition of his achievements both on and off-campus, Saurabh was one of ten student activists invited by President Trump in March 2019, when the president signed an executive order addressing free speech on college campuses.
Beyond his activism, Saurabh has written for numerous well-known outlets, including The American Conservative, The Daily Caller, The Spectator US, National Review Online, The Daily Texan, and Texas Scorecard. He has also been honored with fellowships from organizations such as the National Journalism Center, the Claremont Institute, Hillsdale College, and the Conservative Partnership Institute.
Outside of his professional life, Saurabh enjoys writing with fountain pens, cooking, mixing drinks, purchasing an excessive number of suits, and finding opportunities to return to Texas.
