            The new elected President Jacob Zuma has announced Ebrahim Patel 
              as the Minister of Economic Development. 
            He was general secretary of the South African Clothing and Textile 
              Workers Union and labour activist who has also led many local and 
              international labour initiatives. He fight the case of workers who 
              had been particularly hard hit by cheap imports. He has done excellent 
              work for the workers of South Africa by serving in the International 
              Labour Organisation Governing Body.
