Born in 1934, Hanwant Bir Singh Sawhney ventured upon the great journey of life for many years and has accumulated much wisdom throughout. As a successful businessman, Hanwant Bir Singh Sawhney has always had a generous heart, and is always first in-line to help the needy.

He moved to the US in 1988 with ambitious dreams and has established a successful business with his hard- work, and firm belief in Waheguru, believing that "those who help others, will be helped by Waheguru."

 As a devout Sikh, Hanwant Bir SIngh Sawhney, has always been a very active member in the local Gurdwaras.

Mr. Sawhney has been honored many times by the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Walnut, in Walnut, California, USA and various other Gurdwaras globally for his selfless service.
His steadfast commitment to Sri Guru Singh Sabha Walnut is recognized by the fact that he has served as Founding Board Member, Director, Senior Vice President, Chairman and Permanent Stage Secretary.

Mr. Sawhney was once recognized by a Gurbani magazine as an individual who is very optimistic and one with a firm belief in Waheguru in good and bad times.
