Salton City is the largest Imperial County development on the Salton coast. It is part of the El Centro, California Metropolitan Statistical Area. Back in the early 1900s, the California Development Company carved out an irrigation canal that allowed access to water from the Colorado River to the farmlands of the Imperial Valley. Ravi Grewal is a NRI (Non-Resident Indian) entrepreneur, successfully owned and operated several businesses in Southern California, India and Nevada. Last week, he invited more than 100 NRI friends and relatives to inaugurate the new Salton City Travel Plaza in Salton City in California.
In many ways, Ravi (Ravinder) Grewal is like most entrepreneurs. He had a catalytic early experience that opened his eyes to his own creative possibilities. "The experience implanted a vision for a larger purpose in his life, " Grewal said.
