Gurbaksh Chahal guilty to Two Charge of domestic violence and got three-years probation.

  Gurbaksh Chahal  pleaded guilty to Two Charge of domestic violence      & got three-years probation.

  • In August 2013, San Francisco District Attorney, George Gascon, charged Gurbaksh Chahal with 47 counts of domestic violence.
  • Prosecutors alleged Chahal "hit and kicked" his girlfriend 117 times over a 30-minute period on August 5, 2013. Chahal’s video security system included cameras throughout the apartment where the attack occurred.
  • Gurbaksh Chahal pleaded not guilty to the charges and posted $1 million bail.
On April 16, 2014: Chahal  pleaded guilty to Two Charge of domestic violence and got three-years probation.

Initially Chahal was charged with 47 felony domestic violence counts based on evidence from the video. Looking  to overblown allegations against him, he  realized that plea bargain is the only solution.

Chahal entered his plea to the reduced charges after the woman stopped cooperating with authorities and a judge said the video could not be used as evidence because it had been improperly obtained.

  • Chahal  pleaded guilty to one charge of domestic violence battery and one charge of  battery.
  • He was ordered to attend a 52-week anger management program, perform 25 hours of community service and placed on three-years probation.

RadiumOne's Board members fired Chahal after the plea deal.

Even though Chahal pleaded guilty to the charges, he still maintained his innocence:
After his conviction, Chahal tweeted, "I maintain my innocence regarding these exaggerated accusations"; "For the past 10 months there were overblown allegations against me because of my alleged high-profile status"; and "Is the Internet this stupid to read one side of the story by tabloids vs. the actual truth? Grow up people before u judge false accusations."
Tech Crunch also reported that in a series of since-deleted blog posts, he claimed that “there is a difference between temper and domestic violence.”
