IRenowned celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor recently visited the Akshaya Patra charity kitchen in London to contribute to the organization’s fight against child hunger. As part of a global initiative founded in India 24 years ago, Akshaya Patra serves daily meals to over 2.25 million school children in India and the UK, ensuring that students can focus on their education without worrying about hunger.
During his visit, Kapoor collaborated with the charity’s chefs, sharing innovative recipes and tips for preparing nutritious, budget-friendly meals that cater to diverse tastes. Demonstrating his culinary expertise, he prepared a pasta dish and a crunchy salad, emphasizing that healthy meals can be both flavorful and affordable.
Speaking on the issue of food poverty, Kapoor remarked, “In the UK, food poverty remains a significant challenge.” Akshaya Patra UK addresses this issue by providing hot, nutritious meals to students from underserved communities.
