Overseas Friends of Bharatiya Janata Party-LA Chapter by P K Nayak & Artesia Chamber of Commerce Celebrate One Year in power of BJP Government

"OFBJP-LA chapter, formed on Jan 01, 2014 in Artesia, California, USA, by P K Nayak  & Artesia Chamber of Commerce celebrated one year in power of Modi-led BJP Government in India. The celebration was held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at The Cake Corner-parking lot, Artesia and about 50 people get together inclding the commuunity's leaders as shown in the below photo.

The guests of honor included Cerritos City Councilor Naresh Solanki, Artesia City Councilor Ali S Taj and Presidential Nominee K V Kumar. OFBJP was represented by President P K Nayak, Vice Presidents Dilip Butani & Anil Mahajan, Secretary Vijay Patil and Treasurer Onkar Bhaskar ; while Artesia Chamber was represented by President Parimal Shah, Secretary Larry Caballero, Treasurer PaoLing Guo, Board members Parvez Howlader, Jonathan Kang, Shaila Patankar & Manu Patel and Executive Director Ina Dahilig. Also present were Community leaders Amrit Bhandari and Dinesh Gandhi.

P K Nayak, who also hosted the event welcomed everyone and invited others to speak. Dilip Butani spoke about the Jan Dhan scheme and Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana. He also emphasized on government’s plan to see that by 2022, no family remains without a roof over its head. Anil Mahajan mentioned that in the very initial months, the BJP Government took up the task of providing toilets in all schools. He also mentioned about launching of MUDRA Bank for financing 6 crore small vendors and businesses 61% of whom are SCs, STs, OBCs and Minorities. Vijay Patil spoke about the Soil Health Card scheme which has been launched to enhance farm productivity and reduce expenses; thereby enhancing the farmer’s income. He also mentioned that The Indian Railways, on which the common man travels, is being changed for the better. Onkar Bhaskar mentioned that Government has come out with a comprehensive social security scheme for the poor and marginalized old and those with low-income levels.

Parimal Shah, Icon Realty & provide Investment service in Artesia on Pioneer Street  spoke about the achievements and future projects of Artesia Chamber of Commerce. He spoke highly about Prime Minister Mody and mentioned that Swachh Bharat Mission has been started to see that health and hygiene issues of the poor do not affect the working capacity and output of the poor and laborers.  

Naresh Solanki also applauded Prime Minister Mody’s various schemes and mentioned about the social security scheme for the poor and those with low-income levels.

Ali S Taj praised leadership of PM Mody and spoke high about the BJP government. He mentioned about set-up of Skill Development Ministry to enhance employability of the youth and about jobs through initiatives like ‘Make in India’

A special mention was made by Amrit Bhandari about K V Kumar. Bhandari said that Kumar has  received Ellis Island Medal of Honor from National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations; Kumar was honored for Exceptional Commitment to Volunteer Service. About BJP government, Kumar said that in the past, the country had been led into an economy of jobless growth. The present government has provided for reservation of women in the police forces of Union Territories. Through the regime of coal auction more than Rupees 3 lakh crore have already been generated for the less-developed states of India. This money will be used for the poor of those states.
