NRI Arvinder “Arvi” Singh Bahal was born on October 13, 1945, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, near the Taj Mahal. A devout Sikh and spirited traveler, he briefly attended India’s National Defense Academy in the early 1960s but left due to an injury.
