India has issued a new travel advisory urging its citizens to leave Lebanon due to escalating Israeli attacks in the region. The Indian Embassy in Beirut released the advisory late Wednesday, highlighting the increased tensions and warning against any travel to Lebanon until further notice.

“All Indian nationals currently in Lebanon are strongly advised to depart immediately. Those who must stay are urged to exercise extreme caution, limit their movements, and maintain close contact with the Indian Embassy in Beirut,” the advisory stated.

This update follows a similar advisory issued in August, but the situation has worsened since Israel began a series of airstrikes on Lebanon earlier this week. According to Lebanese health officials, the attacks have resulted in over 610 deaths and more than 2,000 injuries. The violence stems from ongoing cross-border clashes between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, which erupted after Israel’s offensive against Gaza in response to a Hamas attack in October.

The international community has expressed concerns that the conflict could escalate further, potentially spreading the violence beyond Gaza and into neighboring countries like Lebanon.
