Hannah's parents Trevor and Hillary Foster are flying to India to see for themselves what attempts the police there are making to track Kohli down. Their visit, funded by Hampshire Police, along with a senior Hampshire Constabulary detective in charge of the British end of the investigation will attract local publicity and lead to a breakthrough.

Local Police confirmed that Kohli had taken an Air-India flight for Delhi and then travelled on to Chandigarh, where his family lived. Plice teams from here went twice to Punjab but despite cooperation from the local force, could not trace Kohli. His parents, brothers and sisters said they had no idea where he is.

Fosters in an interview with the Telegraph said that their motivation for going to India is to achieve justice and then move on with their lives. Hillary Foster who is a nurse in a cardiac unit and Trevor Foster who is an auditor for a gas exploration company, have not been able to work since their daughter's death.

A telephone hotline, financed by the British Gas Group, employers of Foster, was also set up. £65,000 reward was announced.
