Hardeep Chahil was crowned Miss India Michigan four
months ago and will represent Michigan at the Miss India USA pageant
to be held in New Jersey, USA, on Dec. 24, 2006.
Not only is she looking beautiful from external
appearance, she also has a beautiful inner soul. Hardeep deserves
to become Miss India USA for she has an elegant look of a true
Miss India USA and the natural beauty of Punjabi girl in her beautiful
brown eyes.

Hardeep said, “As a teenager I would attend pageants and
always tell my mom that I want to compete.” And compete
she did, Hardeep swept away the crowd with her grace and elegance.
Her final answer left the crowd in tears as she gave an answer
from the heart. “My biggest fear is to loose any ties between
me and my mother…she is the support of my life…”
Hardeep is a graduate from Wayne State University with a Bachelors
of Science in Psychology. Currently she is attending the University
of Michigan and plans on transferring to Michigan State for Medical
school to become a pediatrician. Hardeep is fluent in three languages–
English, Punjabi and Hindi
Hardeep is involved with many extra curricular activities in
her local community. She teaches dance to the Punjabi school kids
for Vaisakhi and other Indian programs. She has been active in
her local Gurdwara since the age of 14, doing sewa, performing
and singing hymns in front of the congregation. Hardeep is very
family oriented and helps to take care of her cousin who has special
needs.
Her hobbies include dancing, reading, choreographing dances,
pottery and modeling. One day she would like to open a dance school
to provide cultural activities for the youth. “I have always
been driven towards children. I enjoy teaching them new things
and watching them succeed.”
Many of their past winners have made a name in the
Indian and American movies and television and in the modeling
world. Our past winners have also become lawyers, CPA's, engineers,
business entrepreneurs, doctors and homemakers.
