Two NRIs journalists win award of the fifth Annual SAJA-Knowledge@Wharton Award for Business Journalism

Two NRIs have been named co-winners of the fifth Annual SAJA-Knowledge@Wharton Award for Business Journalism - the first scholarships to be announced from among Asian American journalists' associations.

Krishnan Anantharaman, managing editor of The Wall Street Journal Classroom Edition, and Sudeep Reddy, energy reporter with The Dallas Morning News,

were joint winners of the scholarship that entitled them to attend the Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists.

For the first time this year, Wharton extended the scholarship to two journalists associations - Asian American Journalists Association and South Asian Journalists Association (SAJA).

Li Jing, a reporter, producer, and anchor for the Voice of America won the 2004 annual AAJA-Knowledge@Wharton Award.

The awards are sponsored by SAJA Group, Inc. the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Knowledge@Wharton, an online business insight resource.

The journalists got scholarships to attend the Oct 24-28 seminar (a $1,495 value that covers tuition, materials and meals)
