SAD CONDEMNS CONGRESS MOVE TO STAGE MANAGE PATIT VOTES

Chandigarh, September 18 :
The Shiromani Akali Dal strongly condemned the stage managed move of the Congress party to get votes of ‘patit sikhs’ polled at some places in Punjab in the SGPC elections and said that Congress wants to use this as a tool for further litigation against the SGPC polls in the courts of justice.

In a statement released from the party head office here today party Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that  this is another conspiracy of the Congress party to defame the apex body for the management of the sikh shrines.

He said that fearing humiliating defeat the Congress party managed some ‘patit sikhs’ to poll their votes in front of the media so that it can find a way out from this crushing defeat. But, he said that the sikh masses are well aware of the Congress designs to malign the image of the SAD and SGPC.
Dr. Cheema said that it seems that Congress party has no other agenda for the welfare of the people of the state  and it is only confined to work against the SAD in general and Sikh masses in particular.

For a new sunrise of Punjab, Parkash Singh Badal should sunset

Chandigarh : A new dawn has ushered into, unfortunately though only to ensure the sunset of freedom of Punjabis. Blame it on the Parkash Singh Badal's government which has indulged into booth capturing, bloodshed and violence, including at his home turf. All for to win the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbhandak Elections (SGPC). This is a veritable demonstration of the selfish attitude of the government to obtain petty gains.

Not only booth capturing was done at various places but also an activist of the People’s Party of Punjab (PPP) was shot at and critically injured by the Akalis. Keeping in view the lawlessness which prevailed during the SGPC elections, the Presiding officer for Buttarshri deferred the elections.

In Kurianwala Village at Gidderbaha, the Chief Minister’s home district, a PPP member, who was protesting against the booth capturing, was shot at and rushed to hospital. His condition is stated to be critical.

Disgusted at the jungle raj prevailing in the State, President for PPP, Shri Manpreet Singh Badal asserted that the Chief Minister, Shri Parkash Singh Badal should immediately resign.

“If anarchy is a virtue, then Parkash Singh Badal’s government is its incarnation. I am disgusted to learn that to win SGPC elections, the government has left no stone unturned to abuse the law. This clearly proves that the Badals are certain about their forthcoming shameful defeat in the Vidhan Sabha elections. With such hooliganism, I don’t foresee their party even obtaining ten seats in the elections” said Shri Manpreet Singh Badal.

“Punjab is going to the dogs because its administrators, the Badals, want a piece of flesh of victory from the SGPC elections. Unfortunately, they are blissfully ignoring the fact that wining SGPC elections will not ensure their return to Punjab as winners. Such abominable conduct will ensure their shameful exit” Shri Manpreet Singh Badal asserted.

Reiterating that Parkash Singh Badal should step down, Shri Manpreet Badal stated that as an elderly person, if not as a seasoned politician, Shri Parkash Singh Badal should think for the betterment of the State and not for his personal gains.

PETROL PRICE HIKE: BADAL DEMANDS IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL OF OIL SHOCK

CM SLAMS CONGRESS FOR THIS ARBITRARY DECISION
SUKHBIR TERMS PETROL PRICE HIKE A CRUEL JOKE

CHANDIGARH SEPTEMBER 16:

Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today slammed the Congress led UPA government at Centre over totally unjustified and back breaking hike of Rs 3.14P per liter in the price of petrol.
In a statement here, Mr. Badal demanded immediate withdrawal of the ‘oil shock’.  He said that the totally unwarranted hike in petrol prices will not only break the back of the already suffering common man but will also unleash new frightening inflationary trends which in turn would dampen the economy and further slow down the growth rate.  He said that the petrol price in India was already amongst the highest in the world despite alarming poverty amongst the masses.  Mr. Badal lamented that inflation had already touched double digit and was beyond the control of UPA government despite its tall claims to manage it but in reality it had failed miserably to tackle the spiraling price hike.
Mr. Badal said that reports of Centre's plan to hike the price of diesel and LPG would further make the life of peasantry unbearable besides adversely impact the middle class. He said that the hefty hike in the prices of Petrol has exposed the anti poor face of the Congress party which claims to be the votary of common man (Aam Adami).
Demanding total rollback of hike, the Chief Minister regretted that this hike in the prices of petrol would also adversely hit the transport sector in the state resulting in the corresponding price rise of essential commodities and other materials thereby affecting the common man.
The Chief Minister also asserted that rather than hastily increasing the price of petrol, the Union government must have ventured to build consensus over the matter by discussing the issue with all the political parties of the country.  He emphasized the need to evolve a transparent system to decide the prices of petroleum products in consultation with all the political parties and should not play in the hands of oil companies.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal termed the oil price hike a cruel joke on the eve of festival season.  He said this unfortunate decision had reflected the utter fiscal management of the UPA government which would paralyze the economic development and growth in the country.

CONGRESS ALL OUT TO STOP DEVELOPMENT OF STATE : SAD CONDEMNS LETTER WRITTEN BY CONGRESS TO ECI
Chandigarh, September 13:

The Shiromani Akali Dal strongly condemned the letter written by congress party to the Election Commission of India  against Punjab Govt. on the issue of development loans and described it as a political conspiracy to stall the development process in the state.
In a statement issued from the party head office in Chandigarh, the SAD Secretary and Spokesman Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said that fearing crushing defeat in the coming assembly polls, the congress party has gone berserk. Previously it wrote letters to the Prime Minister and urged him not to release funds to the state. Now they are writing to the ECI. It shows the panic reaction of the congress party as well as its anti-Punjab and anti -development attitude. He said that it is first time in the history that an opposition party is using such dirty tactics to stop development and to harm the interest of the state for its political gains.
Dr Cheema further said that apart from hatching conspiracies for stalling development of the state,  the Congress party has gone to the extent of misleading higher courts of justice simply to stall SGPC elections. This shows that Congress is against everything that will affect its poll prospects in the coming elections. But these ill-conceived and politically motivated actions cannot help the sinking ship of the congress party. The people of the state are well aware that congress is the number one enemy of development and they will teach her a lesson in the coming elections, he added.
