Nigar Khan would be deported for visa violation

We have seen her in the ' Chadti Jawani' remix music video and item songs of Bollywood movies like 'Shadi ka Laddoo'.

She has performed item numbers in Bollywood flicks like Rudraksh, Shaadi Ka Laddoo and Ab Bas. Her upcoming lineup of films include Double Cross – Ek Dhoka, Hello Kaun Hai?, Bachelors and Do Chehre.

Nigar Khan, Norwegian model who would be deported for visa violation, a senior police official said on Monday.

"She was on a visitor's visa but she has been engaged in commercial ventures," Bihari said adding, the model was issued notices last year, in view of which she had gone back to Norway, but returned this year.

Born in Iran, Nigar grew up in Norway, studied in Australia and is now pursuing a career in Bollywood. She has modeled since she was 12, took acting classes at university and last year won a swimsuit contest in Australia.

She has a bachelor's degree in marketing and advertising, a master's in international business, can speak Persian, Turkish, Norwegian, English and Hindi, and has lush lips, long black hair and deep blue eyes. And she is only 19 years old.

She was offered fashion shows in India for Wills Lifestyle, Provogue and Arjun Khanna and she has worked every day since. Effortlessly, one job led to another. But it took some sacrifice.

"When I?m not working, I?m working out. I haven't had time to make friends and I miss out on social life. It was the same at university. I?m always 100 per cent into my work," Nigar says. Away from home, all Nigar misses is her family ? mom, dad and three sisters.

"I adjust to new places fast. And luckily I have Indian friends here from university. So it has been easy to move to Mumbai. And now I feel I can call India home," she says. Of course, financial support from her parents means the money she makes from modeling, is pocket money.

"You have to be very smart and fast and know what you are aiming for, otherwise you?ll be lost. My education has helped me. It gave me confidence and taught me to deal with people," says Nigar.Her goal is to become an actress

She was apparently arrested and taken by the authorities to the airport, and kept at the immigration cell. Sources say she has been given an Air-India ticket for deportation to Norway late Monday.

Khan said that she was driven to the airport without any notice. "They did not even let me pick up my clothes... I don't know why they are taking me away like this," Nigar was quoted as saying.

"I had gone to the FRRO office to sign some papers... There is nothing wrong with my visa... it says I work here... They are not allowing me to even call a lawyer," she said.

The official who was with her in the car said she was being deported because her papers were not in order.

Nigar has been caught up in controversies before. The bold starlet last made headlines when photographs purporting to be those of her modelling topless for a Norwegian magazine were revealed.

Another surprising aspect that comes into light through this episode is that Nigar now claims that she married an Indian six months ago. She also claims to possess all the valid documents though the authorities assert that her visa has expired
