  • Artee is an actress of film, television, stage and commercials. You can see her in "American Addiction" as Sonali, which is the first of a three part trilogy focusing on the ongoing struggle faced by a diverse group of South Asians making a film.

She has performed in plays such as "Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp," "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "Pahachaan," "Fiddler on the Roof," "Guys and Dolls," "Everyman" and "Up the Down Staircase."

Artee is not limited to just acting, she has modeled for Bibi Magazine, Compaq Computers, Winston and was crowned Miss India Texas in 2001.

Artee has been performing since childhood; she was first introduced to the world of acting at the age of 6 while watching her uncle late Sanjeev Kumar on the silver screen. From that moment on, she was inclined toward dramatics and developed a love for the arts.

While studying acting at The Angleton High School Drama Center for 4 years, she performed in plays, sang in the choir and competed in drama competitions, winning awards in duet acting, vocal solo, prose readings and group improvisation.

She attended The University of Houston and received a degree in Communications. She performed at school events, and became a member of the South Asian Sorority, Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc., which works to promote Indian culture in the community and raise awareness of children's literacy and education.

Artee is a member the South Asian Theatre Troupe - Shunya Theatre and she continues to study her craft and work at making her break into the entertainment industry.
