- Jan 17, 2005: A 67-year-old Romanian woman
gave birth yesterday to a baby girl. The childs twin
sister was stillborn. Romanian doctors at the Giulesti Maternity
Hospital in Bucharest said Adriana Iliescu, who was artificially
inseminated, is the worlds oldest recorded mother. Iliescus
daughter was delivered by Cesarean section early yesterday, more
than six weeks short of a full 40-week pregnancy term, said a
hospital spokeswoman.
