 United Federation of the Indo-Americans of California , unanimously elected Ms. Vasu Pawar, as the President of UFICA for the year 2013.

In her President Address, she expressed her gratitude to the UFICA members for proposing her name for this important position and trusting her to keep the image of UFICA alive. She embraced the opportunity that was presented to her with great satisfaction. As she accepted the position as the President of UFICA, she mentioned that she was submerged with the huge responsibilities and aware of the challenges that came with the position

Ms. Vasu Pawar, also mentioned that it posed an even greater challenge just knowing that the past presidents had done such an outstanding job to maintain the status and culture in UFICA, and each of them had brought something special and unique to the table. The Founders and Trustees and Past presidents have been the backbone of UFICA, and the greatest supporting figures at all times. It definitely builds her confidence and motivation knowing that she would be working with this wonderful group and strong supporters that she could count on. She looks forward to their advice and knowledge and strength.

She also admires that the most fascinating thing about the UFICA organization is the fact that it is a very family oriented organization and all its members give their 100% at all the Events and that is what has made this a very UNIQUE and a very SUCCESSFUL organization. She would like all the members old and new to take the initiative and participate in their area of interest as there is room for growth in this organization for anyone that comes aboard.  

Her goal is to get the youth generation involved in the UFICA Organization this year. Being a principled person, she is attached to honesty and truthfulness and would always put her 100% to whatever she commits to. She promised to Excel as the President of UFICA and will do her level best to bring success to this organization.

The UFICA Executive Committee Elected for the year 2013 are: Chairman Mr. Niraj Agnihotri, President – Vasu Pawar, Executive Vice President – Charu Miglani, Secretary – Nakul Kalra, Treasurer – Tejal Raval, and Cultural Vice President – Alka Patel.

Founders – Mr. Rangesh Gadasali, & Mr. Harish Dhruv, Founding President – Mr. Ashok Patnaik, Trustees and former Presidents & Chair – Mr. Vinod Vineet, Mr. A. J. Dudheker, Mr. Anil Mahajan, Mrs. Vinita Vineet.

The Election process was remarkably handled by the Founding President and Trustee, Mr. Ashok Patnaik, The Founder and the Election Commissioner, Mr. Harish Dhruv, and swearing in, of the Executive Committee by the Founder, Mr. Rangesh Gadasalli.
