This marked the joyous occasion of the 357th birthday of the Tenth Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

38th Year of Celebration

The tradition of celebrating Darbar-E-Khalsa has thrived for 38 years, marked by an unparalleled mix of reverence, pomp, grandeur, punctuality, devotion, and feasting. Since its inception in 1986, the number of attendees has soared from 700+ to an impressive 15,000+ over the last 35 years.

The annual event is meticulously organized by the International Institute of Gurmat Studies, Inc (IIGS), receiving unwavering support and cooperation from all Sikh Gurdwaras and organizations in Southern California.

Your support ensures the continued success of this cherished tradition and the fostering of a sense of community among the Sikh diaspora in California and neighboring states.

From its modest beginnings in 1986 with 700+ attendees, the gathering has grown exponentially, boasting about 3,000 participants in 2023. Hosted annually by the International Institute of Gurmat Studies, Inc (IIGS), in collaboration with Southern California's Sikh Gurdwaras and organizations, this mega celebration requires substantial financial support.

Interestingly Major Gurdwaras and private Sikh Organization participate to serve Langar including Chane Bhature, samosas, jalebi, kulfi, Kadhah prasad, Kheer, etc.
