70th Republic Day of India Celebration In California

Republic Day honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India. India's Independence Day celebrates its freedom from British Rule, the Republic Day celebrates the coming into force of its constitution.

Haweli Mandir hall was well decorated with tri color of Indian flag to welcome the community for most pious day of Indian history Republic Day of India . Guest started coming by 4 pm and hot tea with delicious Indian appetizers was served there to start the day. By 5 pm hall was filled by guests with new baby in her mother's lap and seniors.

Festivities of the day started with great live music by  Subhas Tolia & Dr. Raghavan band. All the children were given Indian and American flag to march on parade. Famous film song  ( Aau bach tume dikhaye jhaki hindustan ki) was plying children and adults were waving flag and shouting Bande Matram and Jaihind. People who were standing in food line they were giving high five to participants of  parade. Guest of the evening Mayor Wagner of Irvine came by 5.30 pm and he was greeted by Dr. Surendar Sharma, Chitra passi and Kamini khare

Traditional Indian Dhole was played by Arman  to greet the the Mayor. Dr. Sharma introduced the Mayor Wagner to the audience and Mr Mayor wished every one happy republic day and welcomed every one in city of Irvine . He said Irvine is multi cultural city where more than 20 languages are spoken. We honor and respect every one. he was given bouquet of flowers flag color sash. President Mr. Atul Makwana invited all the committee member and manager of State bank of India Mr.Promod Tewari on the stage for grand opening of the program. Flag were worshiped by chanting divine slokas  by Prakash Pancholi in sanskrit and translated in English  and followed by American nation anthem and Indian national anthem. All the committee members were introduced by IASC president Atul Makwana.

IASC also honored on behalf of entire community four prominent people for their dedication of community work

Mr. Jai Paul Thakur and Madhu Prabha Thakur was presented Jai Hind  Award by Mr Mayor of Irvine for his 25 years of community services to all the people in Orange county.He has Havan group that is open for every one. They stand by with any one who asked their help in happy time or sad day in life. He has performed wedding ceremony  and blessed the couple for new life and same way he prayed for departed soul. He has been doing these community work without any charges and has refused to accept any gifts.

Mr. Suresh Bhatti and Nalini Bhatti were given Jai Hind award  for their community support. He has been sponsoring   local school events as well as all community events for several decade. One and only our community leader

Mr. Ravjibhai Patel and his wife Dr. Hansa Ben Patel was recognized  and given star of India award to inspire all of us for community work.  Well known Community person Dr. Krishna Reddy who had started his

community work with IASC in 90s and became FIA president and founded " organization named Indian American friendship council" to promote better economic and political ties between India and America was given shining Star of India award.

 After the award ceremony Bollywood Dance were presented by students of Dance school of Hiral Joshi & Ritu Vaish group and Monica & Niel brother sister team and Keerthana Girish.
Guest were entertain by SREGMA contestant Angal Jain, Kavita Narayan and Sabari Girish. Their old and new Bollywood songs brought audience on dance floor and children on stage.All the participants were given gifts by organizing committee members Delicious dinner was served by Ashoka. One guest told " that she has been to many events but this one is best organized my salute to kamini khare and all committee members. She should train others how to organize community event like this. Each guest and participants are treated with respect and love. Every one has felt very special here. I am  happy I had my booth here."

Many local business  Tea India,from New York Life , Nandani ,Mr. Ayer has his Tax service booth Unique jewelry and Ace Montessori  lend their support for the event. Show was sponsor By State Bank of India California,

  Avdesh Agarwal, Dr. Krishna Reddy, J.R & Rashmi Shah and  Wallis Bank,Shaila Patankar was there to promote her bank services. Chair person  of the event Radhika  Patel and other committee member Dr. Indu Sharma did the raffle.

 Winning of raffle gifts are always exciting for every one. Radhika Patel gave vote of thanks. It was well organized  Republic day of India celebration of 2019 in southern California.  It was amazing to see that young artist and adult singers were complimenting each other and kept the show moving with patriotic them. Every one was having good time.
