The 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated
at the Jain Temple in Buena Park, CA

The event hosted a parade and showcased Gandhi's life in a captivating drama.  Dr. Chandrakant Shah played the role of Gandhi while Nilaben Parikh played the role of Kasturba, his wife.  Nilaben and Dr. Shah portrayed the Satyagraha "non-violence" movement by walking in procession among many of his followers. 

Nilaben stated "Playing the role of Kasturba was truly an honor.  She has been an inspiration to me and to countless other women worldwide. I hope the community enjoyed the function to honor our great  leader Gandhiji".
