US NRI Sikhs delegation met Mr. Ravi, Union Minister at Seattle, for Kartar Pur Sahib Marg issue

US NRI Sikh delegation, led by Sarbjit Singh Mann, met Union Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Shri Vayalar Ravi at Seattle during his recent trip to USA. He was apprised of the sentiments of Sikh Coomunity living in India and abroad about Kartar Pur Sahib Marg. [free access] to Gurdwara Kartar Pur Sahib in Pakistan which is only 3 KM from international border.

Union Minister says Kartar Pur Sahib Marg is genuine demand of Sikhs. He will meet Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Foreign Minister Parnab Mukherjee to convey sentiments of Overseas (NRIs) Sikhs worldwide

Shri Vayalar Ravi, Minister promised to take up matter of Kartar Pur Sahib Marg with Prime Minister and Foreign Minister immediately and he felt it should not be a problem for India Government to accept this genuine demand of Sikh community. Sikh delegation also thanked Minister for building airport at Naded [ Hazoor Sahib] and spending 300 crore rupees for development of the city.

Minister was informred about ‘’ 20 Million Signature Campaign ‘’launched by Overseas Sikh Community.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji passed on Guru Gaddi to Bhai Lehna who became Guru Angad Dev Ji. Guru Nanak dev ji left for heavenly abode after spending 17 years of his life at Kartar Pur Sahib. Muslims , Hindu and Sikhs all go to worship at this place.

Community representatives were thankful to S. Inder Singh of Los Angeles for facilitating this meeting.
