Mahatma Gandhi statue at a Houston park

The ceremony took place at Houston's centrally located Hermann Park, where the bronze statue of Gandhi created by sculptor Ram Suttar will be installed in the next few months.Najma Heptulla, Rajya Sabha deputy chairperson joined Houston Mayor Lee P Brown Wednesday in turning the soil for the installation of a Mahatma Gandhi statue at a park here

The statue gift was given by The Indian Council for Cultural Relations
