NRI, (non-resident Indian) Tribhuvan Singh was named "New Jersey Business Person 2005 award" by the U.S. (SBA) Small Business Administration. SBA New Jersey District Director James A Kocsi said Tribhuvan Singh was chosen for the award based on criteria that include a company's overall financial strength; growth in sales and profits; growth in number of employees and participation in community and charitable events.

Trib Singh is president and CEO of Hi-Tec Systems, Inc., which he founded in 1995. In 1996, Hi-Tec Systems became an SBA-certified 8(a) company. Through the program, Hi-Tec Systems has received a total of $3.5 million in 8(a)contracts from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Lakehurst. Recently, the firm has graduated from the 8(a) program.Today, Hi-Tec Systems employs 90 people and has revenues of about $20 million.

Hi-Tec Systems, Inc., enhances the safety and security of air travel. Hi-Tec engineers and researchers develop new technologies, modernize air traffic management systems, create performance measures for Federal Aviation Administration inspectors, improve airport screening for passengers, weapons and cargo, and design antiterrorism plans. Hi-Tec provides engineering, research and IT services to agencies in the U.S. Departments of Transportation, Homeland Security, Defense, and NASA, as well as the U.N.’s International Civil Aviation Organization, aviation authorities, airports, and airlines around the world. The company is responsible for many FAA rules and regulations.

In the last few years, Hi-Tec has won three contracts with ceilings totaling $183 million. And, Hi-Tec still has the first contract it won in 1995. A May 2005 Department of Transportation newsletter recognized Hi-Tec as a small business "Success Story." Secretary Norman Mineta bestowed Hi-Tec with the DOT’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Award, documenting what the Federal Aviation Administration two years ago called “invaluable” technical expertise, system engineering, and data analysis in its research initiatives. Aviation Week & Space Technology gave President/CEO Tribhuvan Singh its 2003 Laurels Award for Outstanding Achievement.
