Jhunjhnuwala and his younger brother run a hotels-and-real-estate empire that spans Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia, with assets of more than $100 million. Hind Development Pte Ltd, the private property development arm of Mr Surya Jhunjhnuwala and his brother, Girish, two of the scion of Jhunjhnuwala family (previous owner of the prime Imperial Hotel site) – acquired a freehold development site along River Valley Road at S$25.9 million.

In 1999, the Jhunjhnuwala family sold their stake in Hind Hotels International Ltd to DBS Realty Pte Ltd for $100 million. Mr. Surya Jhunjhnuwala was the Deputy Chairman of Hind Hotels International Ltd. Another private property development arm of Mr Surya Jhunjhnuwala developed a project in Brisbane, Australia. The Domain – a twin-tower high-end residential project in the core of Brisbane City, comprises of 27 apartments with most units having a commanding view of the City
