gyms

NRI Tiger Jeet Singh of Toronto, Canada (Real name:
Jagit Singh Hans), the most successful Indian pro wrestler in history,
is opening health gyms with the help of the governments of various
countries. Talking to media in Punjab he said , yet abuse and trafficking
of drugs has been on the rise among the people of Punjab and he
has decided to join in the ongoing fight against drug menace in
the society,

Veteran Indian Wrestling Superstar Tiger Jeet Singh has brought
many laurels to his native state Punjab and Punjabi's worldwide,
while earning many titles in professional wrestling. After 43 years
in professional wrestling, Singh is still hitting the mats in Japan
. Characters like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin
are all gone but Tiger fights on in a country that has not lost
its appetite for pro wrestling.
Toronto based Singh could have resigned long ago but is still
fascinated by Japan where he built a successful career in wrestling
after getting a start in Canada. According to Singh wrestling was
like a drug to him to which he was addicted to. While addressing
a huge gathering in Japan, before a tag team match at Tokyo's Korekuen
Hall, Singh said that he did not opt for retirement because his
Japanese fans never got tired of seeing him and it was the love
of the people of the country of rising sun that he still wanted
to be a part of the world wrestlers.
He regretted that wrestling was at the fag end in North America
where as pro-wrestling remained a big draw in Japan . Japanese fans,
he said were loyal to the core of their hearts. While recalling
wrestling and defeating Japan 's Antonio Inoki for the World Heavyweight
Wrestling Championship in front of 62,000 fans back in 1979 . Inoki
fought and defeated Mohammad Ali in a mix wrestling boxing exibition
match in 1976. Singh said that this particular wrestling bout and
his fight with former Grand Sumo Wrestling Champion Wajima helped
him making a name for himself in Japan.
He exhorted the youth of the world to refrain from using drugs
and said that healthy lifestyle was a key to success especially
in the professional wrestling. He has launched a world wide campaign
against drug menace by opening health gyms with the help of the
governments of various countries.
Singh's final dream is to one day through the assistance of the
Punjab Government, facilitate the same training facilities throughout
Punjab. Singh said that wrestling is India's national sport and
would love to see the same glory returned and enjoyed by all of
the youth throughout Punjab and India.
