After days of intense negotiations, India and the US sealed the
"historic" nuclear deal, under which New Delhi has prepared
a plan to separate nuclear facilities while the Bush administration
will approach the Congress for change of laws.
The clinching of the deal, described as "historic"
both by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and US President George
W Bush, came after nearly two hours of discussions between the
two leaders.
Under the deal for implementation of the landmark 18th July,
2005 agreement, New Delhi will now approach the International
Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for working out "India-specific"
safeguards.
